Automatically populate Surveys in a Visit

Hi,

I have set up an activity plan and routing rules ,  with a simple rule where  Account country = 'US' and have activated the routing rule.  I am expecting when I open the visit on the IPAD and click on the Survey tab  using a visit with an account country = US that  I would see the 3 surveys that are in the activity plan.  I have to manually select the surveys one by one and then they appear in the visit. Is there a background job or workflow that is needed to run to make them appear automatically when I open the tab?

Designing Reports in C4C

Hello Experts,

 

I have added 3 Extension fields(Drop down fields) in Account BO having the same values for the drop down.(e.g. all the 3 fields contains D1,D2,D3 values in dropdown).

 

Is there any way by which I can design a report in C4C such that if I put a selection criteria- e.g. D1 for only one field in report and it will give me all the accounts which are having "D1" value selected in any of the three fields. Is this feasible in C4C?

C4C-ERP Integration: Update a C4C Prospect Account

Hello Community,

 

I am working on ERP-C4C integration. I have the following scenario.

 

  1. Integration is not bidirectional. I.e. Accounts are never sent to ERP from C4C.
  2. Prospects are created in C4C. Opportunities are created for Prospects.
  3. Upon reaching certain stage in Opportunity, a notification will be sent to ERP team, who will create an Account in ECC.
  4. This newly created Account should update the existing Prospect in C4C. I.e. Prospect should be converted to an Account without loosing the existing data (e.g. Opportunity)

 

Now the catch here is, upon receiving a message from ERP, system will update a Prospect or Account in C4C only if it finds an Internal ID that is mapped to the current External ID being passed. Else it will simply create an Account. Since the Prospect or Account created in C4C is not replicated to ERP, there won't be any ID mapping. Also there is no way, a current C4C Prospect will have an ERP Account ID mapped in ID mapping. Hence system will always create a new Account.

 

I have a work around. But it is not a good solution (at least for me).

 

  1. The notification sent to ERP team will contain the Internal ID of Prospect.
  2. While creating Account in ERP, this internal ID is entered in an extension field and passed through IDOC.
  3. The web service of Business Partner Replication will have two IDs. 1. Internal ID (actually this is the external ID) 2. Receiver Internal ID (Account ID in C4C).
  4. When the message is received in C4C, since it has the Receiver Internal ID, it will update the Prospect.

 

Now there are limitations or problems in this approach.

 

  1. When both IDs are present in the message, system updates a Prospect only for the first time. In other words, it updates only if there is no mapping exists for these two IDs. For the second time, since the mapping is already there, message processing will fail. So, the Receiver Internal ID should be sent only once.
  2. While creating account in ERP, if the C4C Prospect ID entered is wrong or not entered, then system will update the wrong Prospect or create a new Prospect in C4C.

 

Basically, SAP should have given some control here for partners to choose the operation that can be carried out by Business Partner Replication web service. For e.g. An Enhancement Option (BADI) could have been given to partners to decide if a message should Create or Update an Account in C4C (Based on matching multiple fields). But right now, as explained above, it is purely done based on Object Identifier Mapping.

 

Now, here comes my question. Is there any other way to update the C4C Prospect Account? I have the following things in my mind.

 

  1. When a Customer is created in ERP, fill the Internal ID (Account ID of C4C) automatically by calling a query service with mulitple selection parameters that will return the Internal ID of C4C Account. Or after getting the Internal ID in response instead of filling the field in ECC, using the Manage Object Identifier Mappings inbound service, update the ID Mapping. So that when Account reaches from ERP to C4C, it will update.
  2. We had raised PSM Release request for Object Identifier Mapping node in Business Partner BO. Now it available with write access. So I can actually do some work around using this node to manually update the account and stop the creation of new account. I am going to try that now. Will update.

Apart from the above, any other better solution?

C4C to PI to ECC

Hi All,

 

We have a customer replication happening at our end in two ways:

 

ECC to C4C -> Sold to Party replication.

C4C to ECC -> Propsect replication.

 

However, when we make any change to Customer (account) record in C4C, it flows to ECC, which we do not want, we only want that when it is a Prospect it should flow from C4C to ECC.

 

Somehow from PI, we have restricted through 'ROLE' only Prospect to flow from C4C to ECC, so now, the DEBMAS IDOC does not generate in ECC Inbound,  however we cannot find anything where we can restrict the ADDRESS of the Customer (Account) record to be restricted to flow from C4C to ECCC.

 

Any inputs from you on how to restrict this?

1511 : Email Forwarding : No Cherry-Picking possible ?

Dear Experts,

 

Firstly, very excited to work with very cool enhancements.Thanks to all the hard work !

 

One of them is email forwarding, Was daydreaming that I would be able to choose any inbound/outbound interaction and forward it to external parties.

 

But when I forward, only the first email which created the case is getting added to the email content and not able to cherry pick any particular email.

 

Is it possible to forward only the concerned interaction(email) ?

Error During Test Connection to CRM on-Premise

Hi,

 

while doing a Test Connection, while creating a communication arrangement, the system give us the following output

so everything seems ok, but the return message seems to not be correctly received.

While looking into response, we can see the following message

So seems that we shuld create a communication arrangement for interface CheckConnectivityConsumer, while seems that is not possible.

 

The connection is to a CRM system trough a PO system; in addition all communication arrangements seems to work correctly (for example Business Partner replication from/to CRM system).

 

Has someone already faced this error before?

Tiles on the home page in C4C Extended edition app for iPAD not working

Hi,

 

Need some urgent help.

 

I have set up the scorecards in the frontend tiles for the home page in C4C.

 

I can launch the scorecards when I'm using my desktop and logging into the tenant but when I'm accessing the tenant using iPAD app extended edition I'm not able to launch it.

 

Example of tiles that I have set up are :

 

1.Stalled Deals

 

2. Sales Forecast

 

3. Pipeline

 

Is there any other settings I need to do for the iPAD app to access this reports.

 

Can anyone please help.

Integration CRM C4C : installed base

I have looked for the information with no result. So let me explain my case.

I use an installed base set inside a CRM system I want to replicate into C4C with HCI/PI.

As it is possible between ERP and C4C(Equipment->Registered Product, Functional location->Installed Point), is it possible between CRM and C4C ?

iOS 9 Update for C4C iOS apps using Customers

Hi Colleagues,

iOS 9 is general available today. But we are not recommending C4C customers to upgrade until further notice. We have done tests with Beta but Apple always troubles with the GA version.

 

Hence we are doing complete verification of the apps today and tomorrow. Once after successful tests, we will inform for upgrade.

C4C-ERP integration: issue with DEBMAS field SORTL

Hi guys,

 

due to customer demand we added the fields 'SORT1' and 'SORT2' to C4C. For integration reasons we did this on address level so that the HCI mapping would be easy as well. Now we are facing the issue, that through initial replication from C4C to ERP the SORT1 value get's overwritten by the BAdI code of class CL_IM_COD_DEBMAS_INBOUND. Nevertheless this coding is necessary so that field SORTL in DEBMAS is filled, otherwise the creation of customer data in ERP fails, because the field is mandatory. Because the ADRUPD (with the correct SORT1 information from C4C) is processed before the DEBMAS IDOC, a dummy value is added to SORTL instead of the actual value from SORT1.

 

Has anyone made similar experience with this issue and can provide some kind of best practice, how to deal with it?

It seems like a general race condition issue due to the fact that SORTL and SORT1 are part of separate objects and because ADRUPD always needs to be processed before DEBMAS IDOC.

this would make things much easier for fields containing a lot of possible values, if you want to check whether the fields has been filled in or not.

Query: Test tenant solution profile copy to Production tenant

Hi, Experts,

 

Before completion of our test tenant build(before 24-10-2015 ) we have requested production tenant without solution copy because we want to copy the solution profile to production after test tenant build is completed.

 

I have few questions:-

 

1) Is it possible to copy solution profile to prod from test tenant after prod upgraded with 1511 as test is 1511 now ?

2) if solution copy is possible. Do I need to login to prod and copy solution profile from test ? as it is not allowing from test tenant and showing error message as " You must log on to productive system to perform this operation". attached the error message(it is showing when perform solution copy in test tenant).

 

3) if copy solution profile is not possible then what is the feasible solution?.

percent symbol (%) in reports

Hello together,

 

is it possible to show the percent symbol (%) in reports?

For example, we have a report, which shows the probability from opportunities.

At the moment the number is shown without the percent symbol.
